THE POWER OF SEWING IS IN THE THREAD
Like nylon thread, the polyester thread feels, looks, and sews similarly. The primary distinction is the higher sunlight (UV) and mildew resistance of polyester thread. Because of this, it is the best option for stitching items used outside.
Cotton thread has a similar shrinkage profile to rayon (also created from a plant component), making it compatible with fabrics made from plant-derived yarns like cotton and linen. Most synthetics, do not shrink, and fabrics should not be used with them.
Polyester POY is simultaneously twisted and drawn to create drawn texturized yarn (DTY) yarn. DTY yarn is mostly used in the weaving and knitting of fabrics used to create clothing, home décor, seat coverings, purses, and a variety of other items.
Polyester FDY stands for Fully Drawn Yarn in Polyester. It is also referred to as Spin Draw Yarn or Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) (SDY). FDY is mostly utilised in fabrics as weft or weaves. To create a variety of fabrics, FDY can be knitted or woven with any other filament yarn.
The fabric’s cationic dyeable sulfonic acid groups allow for an enhancement in the fabric’s dyeability, and the polyester cationic dyeable yarn is thought of as modified polyester fiber. It has a strong staining power.
